Open Book and Discussion Group based on the book:
The Power of Less: The Fine Art of Limiting Yourself to the Essential…in Business and in Life
The book was written by Leo Babauta
Tuesday Evening 03.15.08 at 7
Our book for this week was originally suggested by Mr. Steve Platt as we both attended one of Mr. Daniel Johnson, Jr.’s New Media Cincinnati events.
Could “Less” really be more? Could this “Power of Less” apply to our job searches, careers, and entrepreneurial endeavors? Could the one with the most toys be the loser?
The author, Leo Babauta, is a former reporter, editor, speechwriter, freelance author, and now makes his living blogging on ZenHabits.net and others. Babauta lives in Guam with his wife and six (6) children. Obviously, he hasn’t applied “Less” to certain areas of his life.
- Why “Less” so powerful
- New habits and defining the truly essential
- Simplicity, living/applying the practice
- Motivation toward Simplicity
- The role of clutter as an impasse
- Much more on “Less”
Zen Proverb: Student says “I am very discouraged. What should I do?” Master says, “Encourage others.”
As always, we more or less, continue the conversation at Steak & Shake after we conclude at Barnes & Noble.
Join us, won’t you?
