Six Pixels of Separation: Everyone is Connected.
Connect Your Business to Everyone
Author: by Mitch Joel
This book was discussed WITH THE AUTHOR on Tuesday, January 5th at 7 P.M.
This was my favorite $timulus night ever as Mitch Joel joined us via Skype having connected with Daniel Johnson Jr. over twitter. We had a crystal clear connection with Mitch Joel for just under two entire hours. In our meetings, since we frequently remember back to this night and to the priceless information that Mitch Joel shared with us. Again, “THANKS!” to Mitch Joel.
Author Mitch Joel writes that “If Facebook were a country, it would have the sixth largest population in the world.”
Are you a proper citizen of the digital planet? Yes, but are you really a “participant?”Are we only six pixels away from each other now? Is that too close? Or still a far and great insurmountable distance in some cases? Can we really meld the virtual world with that of brick and mortar reality? Who does Google say that you are? What the heck is “Linkbaiting?” Can we avoid “digital Darwinism” in these times? How do you go “From Mass Media to ‘Me’ Media?” “Virtual Expansion Loops,” “Know Control,” Tribal Knowledge,” and being a “Digital Nomad,” will also be discussed.
This is the “Trust Agent:”
Joel is all about the strategy, tactics and tools for forging greater visibility and credibility in the new “great community.” Therein lies how we will foster the healthy commerce wherein lies the future jobs that we all lust for.
All a bit exhausting? I guess that we had better get started.
